N-type era, continue to lead | JTPV N-type cell stable volume
Recently, the National Energy Board released the photovoltaic power generation construction and operation in the first quarter of this year, and the photovoltaic installed capacity achieved another success: from January to March 2023, the domestic photovoltaic new installed capacity of 33.66GW, an increase of 154.8%. Among them, centralized grid-connected 15.52GW and distributed grid-connected 18.13GW.
Domestic PV installed capacity far exceeds the same period last year, the situation is a good, in the case of soaring installed capacity, N-type cell products in short supply, highly recognized by the market.
N-type products become the darling of central state-owned enterprises
At present, the photovoltaic cell industry is ushering in the P-type to N-type technology upgrade iteration, and the downstream acceptance of N-type products is gradually improving, mainly because N-type products can bring significant revenue improvement.
According to statistics, since the beginning of this year, the N-type components of most projects in the central state-owned enterprise component collection bidding accounted for more than 20%.
From the bidding situation of central power and state-owned enterprise components that have been made public, Datang Group's N-type components account for the highest proportion, reaching 50%, and the N-type components of China Nuclear Energy, Shanghai Fuhong, China Coal Energy, and Xinhua Hydropower also account for 41.7%, 40%, 30.8%, and 25%, respectively.
N-type products provide significant cost reduction effects for photovoltaic systems with a high premium, and have become the new darling of central state-owned enterprise bidding.
N-type cells have obvious performance advantages
It has approached the theoretical limit of its efficiency of 24.5%, while the theoretical limit efficiency of TOPCon is 28.7%, which is higher than the theoretical limit efficiency of HJT of 27.5%, and there is still a lot of room for improvement in future mass production efficiency.
At the product level, compared with P-type single crystal cells, N-type TOPCon cells generally have the advantages of high conversion efficiency, high double-sided rate, low temperature coefficient, no light decay, low light effect, and longer carrier life.

In September 2022, JTPV took the lead in realizing the large-scale mass production of N-type TOPCon cells, and continued to promote the cost reduction and efficiency improvement of N-type cells, and constantly expanded new production capacity by taking advantage of technological leadership to achieve rapid development.
In 2023, the company achieved operating income of 3.967 billion yuan in the first quarter, an increase of 94.84%; Net profit of 354 million yuan, an increase of 1535.94%.
Leading technology and industrial advantages ensure the stable production capacity of Getai Technology in N-type cell, up to now, the company has Shangrao base 9.5GW P-type PERC production capacity (full production), Chuzhou base 18GW N-type TOPCon production capacity (full production), Huaian base 26GW N-type TOPCon cell production capacity (phase 1 13GW has been built, Phase II 13GW under construction).
