JTPV's J-HEP Technology: A Quantum Leap in Solar Efficiency

Currently, major module suppliers opt for half-cut cells rather than full cells due to reduced resistive losses and roughly 3% enhancement in module power output. However, laser cutting may create unpassivated edges that can result in local minority carrier recombination and cell efficiency loss, and potentially induce the risk of micro-cracks.

#JTPV meets this challenge head-on by introducing its innovative half-cut edge passivation technique (J-HEP) to the "MoNo 2" cell. By adding a CVD process after laser cutting, the laser-damaged edges can be almost fully repaired. With an extra test and sort step to reclassify the half cells, an increase in power output up to 6W is achievable for a standard 182-72 module, corresponding to a CTM increase of about 0.8%.

Moreover, the wrap-around of passivation films with J-HEP technology does not interfere with cell welding or post-lamination module aesthetics, ensuring that performance and appearance go hand in hand.

As we continue to push the boundaries of solar technology, JTPV is committed to delivering solutions that enhance efficiency and reliability, solidifying our position at the forefront of the industry.
